The Power of a Name

We all know that during the first 3 years of life, good nutrition is crucial for children to grow, learn, and thrive. However, few people know that in the US alone, more than 1 in 37 children under age 5 struggle to eat and drink1.

Now known as pediatric feeding disorder, this condition is finally gaining name recognition. For those affected by PFD, this name will mean proper early diagnosis, standardized treatment and training for healthcare providers, adequate insurance coverage, and support. These children and families know the power of a name.

But, there’s more work to do. With your donation, we will accelerate identification, ignite research, and promote collaborative care for children and families.

In 2018, Feeding Matters launched a $3 million, 3-year campaign to maximize the efforts needed to launch, including a $1 million gift from the Dorrance Family Foundation

That’s the power of a name.
